Dear all, it's been a tough few days. I was trying to get some explanation from Binance on what happened with the delisting, but looks like they decided not to respond. What I can share is that we've been in a discussion with Binance about a token swap to BSC, and a move into metaverse. We have secured the necessary resources for all that, put togehter a team and were looking forward to a bright future with the new move. We kept it confidential and wanted to get support form Binance on the new direction first. Binance team took a month to make a decision (during which I naturally kept quiet) and, while overall discussion was positive, the move was not fully supported. So, the idea was to keep building and gradually move towards the metaverse work we've prepared for. In fact, this is a message I received from Binance team on 13th March: "Hi Alex, Appreciate the updates. We will not support this rebranding but please continue with your rebranding exercise. We will observe how your community reacts to it." which was followed by more details on how the token swap to BSC would happen etc. Then on 17th the WABI delisting was announced, the decision for which I guess was taken even earlier. Given the overall positive tone and zero warning on 13th of March, the delisting announcement came as a complete surprise to me and, like I mentioned, I was unable to get any comments from Binance team on this. So, if you'd like to understand the reasons for the delisitng, I'd suggest you contact Binance for it. On the topic of where will Wabi go forward, the delisting is, obviously, a very negative event for Wabi. I'm now assessing the options we have, will share this when ready.

This is a major update for Wabi. Over the past 5 years we have worked hard on pushing forward the vision we laid out for Wabi: the new generation of loyalty points. We managed to achieve 3.5m wabi locked due to user adoption but it’s not a result we are happy with. One of the largest obstacles we had in this journey is being in between two worlds: the international crypto community on one side and our users in China on the other. and in our earlier communications. Below are some of the additional details of the transition: 1 Wabi locked in consumer wallets stay out of circulation supply. This is obvious to us but I’m sure some of you would have questions on this. 2 New team is being built. It’s a different product with largely different capabilities. We are taking the best of AI expertise we had and building up on it now. 3 Existing China business: marketing services and the e-commerce platform with Wabi point (shijifen) will be winding down. 4 All the Wabi token descriptions at CMC, Binance and others will be updated in due time. It’s a major change to what we worked on before. We do believe this can have a much higher chance of success for the Wabi and hope for your support in the new journey.
